Hacking I cant enter RC Mode; please help!

So ive been trying to enter rc mode for like an hour and used two different paper clips but it just wont work. So what happens is I gently place a paper clip down the rail with it some what looking like this https://gbatemp.net/threads/paperclip-rcm-jig.502087/. I hold down the power and up while pushing the paper clip outward. I see the Nintendo then the switch logo then a black screen. I then plug it into my computer and it just shows a icon showing that my switch is charging on the switch screen. Please help!

You shouldn't see any logos, it's not touching right

If the paperclip just slides in you may need to flare it out towards the pins to make complete contact. With mine, my wire wasn't flared enough so it didn't work but when I moved it outward a little bit it worked.

Ive tried to bend it more like it but I just cant manage to get it exactly how it is in the photo.

Then you cant. (This is now the fourth or fifth thread in exactly the same vain in the last three weeks.)

Its usually followed up by "I did it" after a while.

Look up the past threads. People are horrible at engaging in crystal ball "helpyness".

"I can't bend a paperclip, like in that photo, like -" is a new one (do you use tools?). Also you dont have to. Get a wire, use the method involving the fan casing. Get a 4 USD pre fabricated jigg. Paperclip is probably not a good long term solution anyhow (too riggid to use it hundreds of times).

Be sensible in what you stick into your controller rail (just in general).

As said by others in here, i you are looking at the rail, the pins are towards you and not towards the Switch. That seemed to help most people.
