Gaming I also forgot the name. Help?

The first one was found! Ni no Kuni

This game was announced with video and screen shots around August to October in 2008.

Problem is there is no "announced" times list when it comes to games. Anyone mind helping?

It is an RPG or adventure game of sorts. 3D world, but unconfirmed 2D or 3D character models. I strongly believe it was announced around 2008, but my source that old me about the game only kept records back until 2009. It may or may not of had a short anime short released around it.

I'm am also looking for another RPG announced at the same time with wifi capabilities. It might very well be Suikoden, or something different, or the very same game I described above.


Edit: The 1st game I desribed is confirmed not to be:

Kimi ni Yuusha
7th Dragon
Ragnarok DS
Phantasy Star
Echoes of Time
Suikoden
Blood of Bahamut (announced in 2009 I think.)

Also the graphics are not really all that "cartoony" so Games with such artwork are out of the question (Monster Racer, Super Robot Teisen OG Saga, ect..)

Unfortunately not one of them.

The Trailer/screens were Japanese.

Whats more is I crossed out that entire list you provided.

None of those games. Plus IGN never does any news on games unless they're expected to come stateside.

I remember the game had a picture of a giant frog or thing sitting on a throne?
There was only one article on the game at DSfanboy now known as Joystiq.

Something about it being a "beautiful" game and I think it had an anime short released as part of a trailer like another space-setting like game I can't remember (Infinite Space?)

I just googled and it was on both Joystiq and IGN, and it fits ALL the requirements.

I just noticed that those graphics are so good there would probably be 100% lag on emulators and 50% lag in flash carts that have slow micro sd cards in them.

That's the one. I hardly ever heard anything on it except that one time. And its not even out yet which eexplains why I haven't been able to find/remember it.

But now that I think about it, I'm not so sure LogiCat was correct with Destiny Links being the 2nd game I was looking for.
It may very well be Destiny Links or I am confusing it for Suikoden. Anyone have other suggestions?

But that brings up a 3rd game. This could very well be Infinite Space, but what game also announced around 08' featured a few 5-10 minute anime shorts? I remember there were atleast 2 shorts, maybe a 3rd. Joystiq seemed to make a big deal out of them and posted English translates. I know they take place in space. By anime shorts I mean promos of course.

I don't think I found out about the 2nd game on joystiq. I think it was another game site I forgot the name of. Rub it in LogiCat's face for thinking I was "dreaming" Ni no Kuni up. >:[

I think in terms of Katamari Damacy DS being unreleased and existing.
....Though that was only announced. There was never any beta game or anything made of it... So technically it DOESN'T exist!

Yeah, the Wifi emblem is a lie. I can't find a wifi set up button anywhere in the game, and when that happens it usually means there is NO wifi. Rarely does it ever mean there's Wifi but they're not allowing you to set it up and/or check it.

Oh. I'll look into games announced in October 08.. Hmmm..........

Actually, Suikoden DOES have wi-fi. You only have to first advance in the story to a certain point (not too far though), and then you can access it through the Quest Menu. Ctrl-F here wi-fi and you'll see, spoiler of the name of the location .

I have that place. I'm almost halfway through the game. There is NOTHING about Wi-Fi at all that i've seen.
