Whappens if you just open HzMod and don't try to connect?

- The LED should stay always on, either light blue (has internet), or yellow (no internet, or StreetPass mode)
- The LED should blink red and turn back to the previous color when you press a key
- The LED should turn deep blue and then off when you hold START + SELECT

LED is blue, then after a while, turns off

As @Darkdaroach said, when I load the game after starting HzMod, it just turns off HzMod.
No response when I press a button.

There is no reason why this would happen :/

It's like the 3DS reboots, or the game is killing HzMod (which is unlikely, because the LED wouldn't just turn off).

hey so i wanted to share my 3ds screen since i have no webcam or anything and when is start hzmod it givs the error:
LaunchTitle failed C8804478
Please reder to3DS error codes for details and with hzmod himen idk how it works btw im on an old 2ds

I can't quite make heads or tails of this. Is this open source on Github or anything? And where are updates being published?

That error sort of means "no such Title is installed". Did you forget to install the actual HzMod cia? There is the launcher, and there is the actual HzMod cia.

It was open-source, but it was taken down.

There are updates with FPS increase, but currently it just barely works at its full potential on powerful PCs.

I want to record Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. The title screen and main menu go fine, but when I go in-game it crashes Snickerstream. And the LED starts blinking yellow/orange.

I know these have always-online (optional) functionality that needed to be patched somehow, is that still a thing?

Edit: Nevermind, I got it. Go to Rosalina Menu, Debugger options...>Enable debugger

And it throws errors when the game tries to do (some?) internet stuff but game capture works fine.

Oh my, I forgot to update those... yeah, there are DEFINITELY newer versions available...
Uh, yeah, though the current version works fine, I'd like to check out some updates for HzMod...
Is it ready? Or else, how much do we need to wait?

Sorry for rushing you.

Yeah, it happens because the game probably tries to switch the WiFi chip into Streetpass mode, which has to disconnect WiFi.

Although flashing orange means that HzMod has crashed. It should be static orange if the game switches to Streetpass mode.

I don't know.

There are two new editions of HzMod currently:
- HzMod with hand-crafted assembly acceleration (made by me, can reach 60FPS on new3DS if I disable color)
- HzMod with tons more hand-crafted assembly (not made by me, but gets like 2x FPS on old3DS (ACNL is like 9-10FPS))

The problem with the first one is that it doesn't run any better on old3DS, and it has graphical glitches. Oh, and I broke it, and now it only reaches 30FPS :/

The problem with the second one currently is that unless you have a super beefy CPU, your PC will be the bottleneck instead of the 3DS itself.

I hope you don't mind Sono, but I decided to archive all of the versions that don't have broken downloads. As far as I know the "latest" is from June 2020 lol. https://chainswordcs.com/horizon-by-sono.html

OH, YOU KEPT A CHANGELOG! Nice

To be totally honest, I don't really like this being archived, but
1) once something gets on the internet it's impossible to remove, and
2) I won't ask you to remove it because some older versions are better than others.

I'll try to scoop up some older builds for archival which are known to have good performance, and some of them have good performance AND multiscreen support!!!

Edit: there are waaaaaaaaaaaaay too many builds, and half of them don't even work. I don't know what to do with them now...

Edit2: found some in my downloads folder:
- https://puu.sh/HxhKo/4599fdf23f.lzma (2017/05/06 ?)
- https://puu.sh/HxhL0/4e1438af54.zip (2017/06/23 ?)
- https://puu.sh/HxhNP/087c10960e.cia (2017/08/14 ?)

Last edited by Sono,
bug report
--------lzma version--------
with Snickerstream: works but switches upper and lower screen by 0.01s
with HorizonScreen: outputs both screen around 1.5 FPS
HIMEM also works
3DS lags hardly
--------zip version--------
same as above, but
3DS doesn't lag so hard

btw can you send me the link to the two versions?

The old version is really laggy, especially when streaming both screens.
SnickerStream probably doesn't support both screens, because multi-screen support was already removed when HzMod support into SnickerStream was added.

It doesn't sound like a bug to me either way, these old versions just worked like this.

I can't because the first version is broken, and I can't release the second version yet.
