Hey, could somebody please edit my save so that all characters are LVL 254? (I want the proper damage and hearts.)
I just don't know HEX editing and the last time I attempted it, it was on the PS3 and it seemed to cause a permanent change on the disc (as in, most textures were simply gone). lol
P.S. I don't know if I should just attach it so I'll send it in a PM if someone wants to do it...

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

It's not cheating but I used link at the Twilight map and did the mission where you fight 15 dark Ganondorf a, if you use a light weapon, exp+, exp potion, and magic bonus you will get to lv 250 in less than 30 mins.

Afterwards you can buy everyone into 250 using training dojo and max rupee cheat.

Max rupee cheat never works. So it'd be more than 30 minutes...
I'm referring to the address to alter the value, not the exploit to gain max rupee. I wouldn't recommend doing that especially if someone has homebrew access.

Use JGecko and keep the value at max

I'm not an expert hacker...I don't even know what Jgecko or TCPgecko is because there's never any results on Google or GBATemp Search...
So again:
If somebody can edit the save, please do...

You say you arent an "expert hacker" yet you have the means to decrypt your save?

I'm not buying the excuse. Even I have asked for help in this topic and how to do things but I'm not ever expecting any hand holding here. I even told you the means of max leveling your characters without cheating but you don't want to listen to that advice either.

If you want to hold your breath hoping someone to do this for you be my guest. Show some damn initiative and try to learn something for once, the forums have plenty of info. Use it.

TCP Gecko is easy too, load two payloads and control the rest on PC.

Stop making excuses and try it yourself, come back when you actually need help and stop asking for handouts.

how do i raise the level of ganon using save editing which value do i change as i cant just add rupees to level ganon up
Edit: you want to raise ganons level just replace his data with another character thats already on a high level
a characters data is about (0x38) bytes long
dont just change the level as the number will change but the stats will remain for the previous level

I'm not trying to deter you from cheating the exp but it sounds like by altering the level you are also missing the other benefits that come with the raised leveling (power and hearts), so instead of trying to cheat the experience/level try to legitimately raise a character to 255 then cheat for max rupees and get everyone maxed from there. It sounds like a pain in the ass but at least nothing gets screwy with the stats of the characters.

ganon cant be leveled up by rupees so i replaced his data with toon link who was on level 200 (leveled him up by rupees) and I just tested it now and ganon is a lot more powerful like a 200 warrior before he was so weak he was killed by a few dinfos hits

You can only level up in dojo training to whatever your highest level character is, thats why I'm saying to try to get at least one character to 250 then cheat or whatever for max rupees and get everyone on 250. I'm only suggesting that so all the values will be correctly displayed. Just imagine if you cheated the level to 250 but the power level is 50.

Anyways if you want a fast way to level to 250 I gave some advice a couple pages back, you should be able to get to 250 in less than 30 mins if done right.

most of my characters were already leveled up using the training dojo but for some reason ganon or the cucco isnt in the dojo (for some reason nintendo didnt allow them to be levelled up using rupees) the only way to raise their level is to do loads of grinding or cheat

They arent playable characters in the traditional sense, they are only for that mode.

@RemixDeluxe @Woody8275Actually it's easier to edit your unlocked characters to have max exp points -1:
Code:
00 C3 F5 D8 (instead of 00 C3 F5 D9)
Kill anything in a short mission, game will calculate your new level based on your exp points and will hard assign your new max hp and base attack based on the target level; complete the mission and the game will save.
One thing that I've experienced first hand is that if you try this with a character that you hadn't unlocked (I've changed Girahim exp points before unlocking him on adventure mode) the game will revert it's experience points to some lower base, I've changed it again after unlocking him and then I could max him too.

DLC-only characters will get max hearts container with these forced level ups because they don't have missions in adventure or legends modes that give them proper pieces of heart or heart containers. While the initial batch of characters will get whatever max hearts they can have without the extra hearts that come from missions.
tl;dr: Game will auto adjust character stats every time you hit the necessary exp points for a lvl up.

so i've done some save editing after dumping my disc saves with ddd .. now i'm having hardtime injecting it back .. i must use saviine right? then use inject.bat from server ... put my edited saves as in d:/saviine/savine_root/inject ? is that the right way because my saves wont inject back

You need to properly recreate the same folder structure as it was when extracting.
E.g. If when you dump (which you can also do with saviine) it goes into:
dump\00050000-1017D900\80000001\ProjectZ-SAVEDATA\APP.BIN
To inject you need to create:
inject\00050000-1017D900\80000001\ProjectZ-SAVEDATA\APP.BIN

The 80000001 is actually a user ID, so it may be different and you can dump multiple users' data (you can only dump the current user's data, you need to run the exploit separately under each user you wish to dump) without them interfering.
Saviine will offer you a choice of which users data to inject

@Nevermore
I have a challenge for you.

Location for where the tutorial entries are flagged as "learned". IIRC, there's one missable entry, which is the Big Bosses one.
Challenge accepted.
Code:
##Missable Tutorial
0x2814D
As far as known the only thing missable for 100% completion is a single tutorial
"Giant Bosses" is only unlocked when King Dodongo reaches West Field Keep the
first time you play the first mission. If you defeat him before that point
the level will complete and you will forever be unable to trigger that tutorial

The bytes in this region seem to hold a series of bitmasks which flag the
tutorials you have/have not seen. This byte holds the information for
"Giant Bosses".

You need to add 0x10 to the existing value.

For example, working from the same clean save and completing the first level
gave
0x02 when the tutorial had been missed.
and
0x12 when the tutorial was not missed.

My normal save had a value of
0x2B
Adding 0x10 to this to give me
0x3B
Successfully unlocked the "Giant Bosses" tutorial

You can view tutorials on the pre-mission information page
(i.e. the last thing page you see before choosing start mission)

And for anyone curious, it does not appear to be missable on the 3DS version

Is this the correct way to change the EXP?
I'm using the code just a few posts above.
