I hope you all eventually realize that I never gave any specific dates for a release. Instead, I kept manifesting my intentions on releasing something on a meaningful date (Christmas was the original goal, for instance) and failed consecutively to deliver because I do have a life (not a particularly easy one either).
Nonetheless, I kept the only actual promise I made, which was to report progress and document as much as possible. I even went the extra mile and threw the remaining keys away as proof.

Don't worry, some of us actually do speak and understand English properly. I do have a question if you don't mind testing and/or answering. I'm curious if pygecko still works with IOSU? I assume it does as long as firmware doesn't change, which I don't really intend to move off of 5.3.2 unless it's required by some game at some point. Since it works currently it's a bit moot, but I'm hoping it'll get some stability updates or something. Regardless, thanks for all the work you put into this scene, despite the ridiculous names and shit that people call you. The same thing goes to other devs that might see this too. Without people like Hykem, Marionumber1, NWPlayer, Crediar, or Smea (I'm sure he's cooking something up) the scene really wouldn't exist at all. And I'm sure there are many others I didn't list that have contributed. Thanks is as much as I can give for the fun things you guys create for plebs like us.

Guys, If you are complaining about it not being released yet. Why don't you go make an exploit and we will all start asking you stupid questions.

Hmmm. Because you're delaying something that's completed? Yeah, that wouldn't make anyone mad!
He never said it was completed 100% He has a few more things to do

Well, actually, since he's still actively working on it, it's still technically not finished yet, only really is when he claims it so. But yeah, it is kinda odd he doesn't get people can get at least a little agitated after 3 release estimates didn't work out.

You lot can't be for real, and definitely shouldn't be aloud outside. It's a bad world out there, full of people who will lie to you.

Yes you did, right here:

I have the entire month of January free just to work on this and the exploit will be released and maintained before February (yes, I'm sure of that).
That's specific! Not to mention you were "sure of it".....

If he doesnt release before feb then yeh, release the hate gates, i get that things take time

but I do get that unlike the Gateway soonTM that he did give a date of early feb

Anything first half of this year like up till May/June is still worth waiting for I guess

Got a bridge for sale, anyone interested?
Can you give some spec? Like RAM, GPU, CPU, its architecture?... What firmware is it? Is it compatible with freezehax? Does it have heater and microwave, TV emulators installed?

Ahhhh, the drama, the chaos, the impatience... Never change, GBAtemp, never change...

Anyway, my goal with announcing this before even showing any proof was to spark interest in the Wii U again, and I succeeded to a satisfactory extent. Not only that, but people in general became more cautious with updating their consoles, which is a great bonus.

Everything is advancing at a great pace, I'm porting my exploit to a few key firmware versions and documenting relevant information. Homebrew ideas are being brainstormed and for the first time since the Wii U's launch, I believe it will be possible to raise a decent "scene" before it falls drastically into oblivion after the NX comes out.

What I don't understand is why people get mad when things get delayed. You do realize that I'm burning down an exploit just for everyone to enjoy homebrew on their consoles, right?
Not only that, but releasing the exploit alone won't give you anything at all. For that reason, several developers are working on different aspects of the console before it gets out in the wild and that takes variable amounts of time.

At first, my original intention was to just drop the exploit and let people do the rest, but now I don't think that's going to work. What do I mean with all this? Stop worrying so much about it. The latest firmware (5.5.1) is vulnerable, just enjoy your console in the meantime and when it's out, it's out.

In sum, I don't care if 99% of you end up hating me because the exploit is not being released when you want it to be, nor do I care if you all blame me for starting a massive hype all around and then not delivering when I was supposed to. I know there's still 1% of people around that understand what we (developers) are doing and that everyone will eventually get the chance to explore their systems in the way that's supposed to be, safe and fun. Those people don't care if the exploit is released on February, March, 2017, 2120 or whatever, because they understand we know what we're doing.

Also, mind you, time is the only factor here. Everyone seems to be so eager to disprove or contradict what I'm doing that you all end up fighting about my posts, trying to figure out what I meant exactly.
Cheers.

@Hykem Thanks for further clarification.

Keep you the good work. Like I said before enjoy your vacation with your family.

Dude if you're a developer with the leaked keys and stuff you would figure thing out or good enough to get into inner circle to get access to the exploit and develop thing.

IOSU exploit alone for end user is almost useless. You want an exploit to be released soon so you you can look at screen flashing, random text? Shouldn't it better to wait for an useful end user friendly release?

I love how he basically says that even he is getting tired of people complaining and whining and accusing it of being fake... SO WE ALL JUST DO MORE. This is why I have literally zero hope for humanity. If Trump makes president that's it. Idiocracy no longer feels like satire.

lol yes because a bunch of people rapresents all humanity, go to vote bernie sanders
no i'm not from the usa

TBH i'm not really fussed if Hykem releases this or not... but the stuff about creating hype and a "wii u scene" is just ridiculous.

My wii u is on 5.3.2 so i'm happy with what i got on that. But this crap about creating hype and not giving specific dates is just utter bull.

To anyone that doesn't want to wait, invest in a console only wiiu from eBay or craigslist on a firmware at or below 5.3.2. I got a 4.1.0 for ~$80 and updated for free using the gamefly trial on splatoon. Ultimately if you have the money and don't want to wait this would be your best option.
