Whether it is real or not is irrelevant. The OP suggests we hold off on IOSU to ensure Hykem's safety. A good cause, but Hykem clearly doesn't want to be found. And there is no way to contact or find him. If anyone is so inclined, contact another dev. Until then, there is nothing further we can do to pursue Hykem's safety, and so honestly IOSU, here we go. If at some point a development is made in regards to Hykem, we should pause IOSU and pursue this. Til that time, we shouldn't put a huge, positive community development on hold to chase, as I said before, a ghost that doesn't even want to be found.

He is prolly really young. Fame and feeling more important than you are, are both big issues on forums with young members. Him making this up is really not unbelievable. And even if he isn't, it's clear he put himself in said situation.

Unless we are 100% sure of his endangerment tracking down and contacting relatives or family members could easily be seen as stalking, and I'm sure the last thing anyone wants Hykem to think is that we're stalking the guy. Those of you who watch smaller review-based YouTubers will know about IHE's dox attempt, and while those attacks were ill-intentioned the OP basically proposes we do the same thing. I'm not okay with that. The reason he left is widely debated but there's no denying that the community wasn't exactly being nice to him, and to have that same community start contacting your family members asking for information on your current situation takes it out of good intentions. While I would like to know if he's safe, if he isn't going to tell us (or can't) then there isn't much that can be done about it.

Hello fellow YouTube fan! hm, I hadn't really thought of it like that. But now you bring it up, I completely agree to be honest. Either way, we can't contact him, and tbh about it, surely if some forum members want to pursue this, it shouldn't take away focus from the exploit. I mean we are multiple people, we can focus on more than one thing at a time.

They are correct, search 0xF5AF5AF5 and you will find nothing.

Search instead for 0xF5A5A5A5 and you will find that in IOS-KERNEL's IOS_CreateThread function, but no 0xF5AF5AF5 like the fake pastebin says.

It just sounds like too much of a plan to just say that. Making this rumor would have just brought more attention to his absence.
The pastebins are a bit hard to believe, that I get. But I don't think it should already be proven false. Heck, the account who posted the second conversation is almost 10 years old.
But I guess you're right on one thing, and a few others already said it. There's really not much we can do, real or not; so there's not much to debate about.
