Good evening. To separate the CPU frame and the EMMC frame, many technicians use an electronics clipper like Knipex 7861140 or Sunshine SS-109.

However, the material of the frames is so soft that it is less of a cut that you make. It's more of a squeak.

And this is what the result usually looks like.

The remaining frame parts deform and change their height.

This not only looks unattractive, but without being artistically active, the respective cover no longer fits perfectly on the frame.

Is there a better way or is that just to be accepted?

If there is no other solution, does anyone know of smaller tools than the Knipex 7861140 or Sunshine SS-109? Preferably as high quality as possible. If possible not sunshine.

I'd really appreciate a chat about this and your ideas.

Xuron makes good ones, maybe one of their Micro-Shear flush cutters could make a cleaner cut than the Knipex, although not by much. And I don't think it would help with deformation when the frame walls are not flat.

I just try to cut with the flat side of the jaws to the side of the frame I want to keep, then reshape it with tweezers when needed.
