Hey Tempers,
I have a spare PCI-e x16 port on my mobo, so I was thinking of upgrading my graphics from the stock, integrated 256 GeForce 6150 SE. I want to get into gaming, but I noticed graphics are quite choppy, especially when a lot's happening on the screen. My processor is an AMD Athlon II 2.7 GHz Dual-Core, and I have 2GB of Single-Channel DDR2 RAM. I'm confident it's the graphics card that's slowing me down. Anyways, how's this graphics card in terms of price and capacity?

Thanks in advance.

A 9400GT is pretty much useless for new games. What kind of games do want to play and at what resolution?

Well, not brand-new games, but the newest ones would probably be Assassin's Creed II and Fallout 3. I'll definitely be getting Fallout: New Vegas when it comes out. I don't care what resolution; 1024x768 even works for me (or 1280x720, since I have a 16:9 widescreen monitor)

Without needing external power, I think your best bet is a HD5670 or a GT240. A little more pricey, but nothing, considering you'll be spending at least that on games.
