Homebrew How to use Soundhax

So I've done soundhax on several old 3dses, but I've encountered a problem with a new one.

On New 3ds 11.0.0-33U. Black.

I've redownloaded the proper bin and soundhax files repeatedly.

I keep on getting the same "An Error has occurred" when trying to run Soundhax in Sound.
edit--Redownloading all files has bypassed this issue. Now Soundhax runs properly but instantly goes back to the menu screen, as if there's no otherapp.bin file (there is).


I can't think of what could be the problem. The SD card has only 1.3 gigs free but I'm sure that should be enough.

Can anyone possibly please have an idea of what could be the issue?


Edit- It was the space on the card. CTR going now.

I tried about 25 times and it crashed every time. Tried redownloading files, verifying everything, etc.

Ended up using another method instead.

Not sure what was wrong.

What version is your console anything over 11.4 cannot use soundhax

It's 9.9.0-26U, the console is a New 3DS XL, another person in another thread had this same problem, no one showed him a solution, he's still clueless (as I'm right now).

EDIT.: And I now it don't always boot on the first attempt, so I tried a LOT, but no luck!

You could also use Browserhax...

EDIT: your's looks like it doesnt jump into the payload to load into homebrew...

It has the same effect? I can see everyone saying that Soundhax has more benefit. And it needs a game? (I have none), if not, direct me to the most reliable guide/tutorial, thanks.

Browserhax is fully on the Browser itself, it works up until 10.5.X IIRC \
First thing first, did you put the correct otherapp.bin and renamed it that way? (otherapp.bin)

I never let it update, I bought it with a flalshcard (NewSky3DS), and I thoght if I update it, the falshcard could not work anymore, so I disabled it and I never let my console online (except when trying Soundhax).

Yes, but do you remember the firmware it was on before the 9.9.0-26 that you are currently on?

But......As far as I remember, it never updated.

Can you open your browser without any problems?

No, it asks for update since I'm on V9.9.0.26U, and yes, I downloaded the right otherapp and soundhax and named it correctly.

Nope you are doomed, you used a cart update. You do not have either sound app or Browser completely installed and that's why you can't run the exploit as you should

How is it possible a cart update without a cart? Well, the first thing I did when I bought the console was buying Ace Attorney Dual Destinies, since it can't be played on Sky3DS and I'm a big fan so I couldn't wait, and I never updated, can you explain how this cart update works in more details?

Oh, and my browser was fully functional before my software got outdated, but now it asks for update of course

It could be either 2 things, Either factory updates are just like a cart update or you accidentally cart updated without noticing

Cart updates only include the essential stuff in a upgrade, but nothing more. the rest you have to download them via OTA

But both Sound App and Browser loads normally, the sound app works as it should, but not the SoundHax, and the Browser too, I can see my last visited pages and access configurations, but as soon as I try to load any page, it notice that I'm not on the last version, So and don't think I "don't have it", Nintendo is just using it to make me update we know why.

I can't access e-shop either probably for the same reason!
