I'm trying to block the automatic system update while using the DNS trick, but that also means JGeckoU won't find my console. How can I use cheats now?
    Please help.

You could block updates by deleting the update folder on your NAND.

What's wrong with 5.5.2? Everything works fine on it.

First, if one is not using Haxchi or CBHC, then v5.5.2 is very much not recommended because the v5.5.2 browser exploit is unreliable. Second, blocking updates is good in case Nintendo releases a new version.

It doesn't need to be reliable. You only need to run it once to install Haxchii. I don't know why it's taking you so long but just do it already.

I do not think you read my post carefully. If you're not planning on using Haxchi/CBHC, then the update to v5.5.2 is not recommended.
