no, just save normally and when you are done, either leave the game via Home button --> Exit or shut down your 3DS normally with the... yeah you figured power button
only problem is, when you just close the 3DS, still have the game running and it runs out of battery, THEN it won't save
you have to either leave the game or shut down the 3DS, if it shuts down due to no battery, then it doesn't write the save to the SD card

Also if your game happens to hang or crash then you lose your progress since last play session. Pokemon, Animal Crossing, and a few other titles do NOT need graceful exit and they save instantly.

Not quite wrong, it was like that a few versions ago. You had to press home and exit else the games wouldn't save. It was fixed though to "real-time saving".

Really? I never heard of this. May I ask what these steps are?
Well, you get kicked out of EmuNAND if you just close the game. To exit Smash Bros. without leaving EmuNAND you have to open another application (such as the camera app) to close it, then exit that app.

I'm not sure if 2.5 fixed this at it was just released today.

i used to go out to the recycling center every couple weeks and look at the crts and other electronics people would drop off. Usually screens were broken or severely scratched from being tossed around. Did find a good one here and there, but never anything like a 1080i widescreen crt.

Is it piracy if it was released for free? Not in my opinion, but I also think it's not piracy if buying it isn't owning it, and it's not piracy if you can't buy it from the original creators anymore.
