Installing ISO Files

NOTE: I was told that this way doesn't have a size limit. I am sure whether if this will work with ALL ISOs. Use at your on risk.


1. Download ISO Tool for PSP: WILL ADD DOWNLOAD LINK LATER

2.) QUOTED from PSP-Hacks:[/p]

Load up ISO Tool and follow these steps:
1.) Press [?] to bring up the SYS MENU

2.) Select “Make fake_np data File.”

3.) Browse to and press [X] on a (legit) downloaded PSN game.

4.) Select “Yes” to start the process.

5.) When it’s done, browse to the folder that you have place your ISO file in.

6.) Press [X] on the ISO that you have downloaded.

7.) Select “Convert fake_np”.

8.) Select the PSN-downloaded game title created in steps 3 & 4.

9.) Let it process… Time will vary depending on ISO size.

10.) Exit to the XMB and try loading the ISO.

Enjoy your newly signed Game!

Also, the PSN-downloaded game title must be a PSP game, not a PS1 game, and the PSN-downloaded game must of course be a larger file than the ISO file you're trying to sign.

I'm pretty sure one of the Moderators might be able to grab a cached copy of your guide. I however wasn't able to, but it seems as though you want to recreate it into a better version.

Ditto, I have to agree with xist. You should keep method 2 because a lot of people either won't want to or don't have the option to spend the money to purchase a PSN PSP game, which is sad. Also, as far as I know the Playstation Store is still down so method 1 isn't even an option to people unless they already bought a PSP game from the PSN store

I voted for keeping method 2. Even though it has some limitations and you can't do it on your psp, it still is a working, free method.

Sadly, I didn't have the time to finish this up, since there is school tomorrow...

Yo, I can't even get the fake_np.exe to open. I am on a windows 7 system and I ran a compatiblity test to see if it was needing older settings but I found nothing. Can anyone help me please.

After you try running fake_np.exe, are there any "added" files in the folder, or after you click fake_np, do you see a window that looks like a Command Prompt window, but closes quickly?

I don't have Windows 7, so I cannot test it out. Sorry.

Oh yeah, even though it says it doesn't need any older settings, try making it "XP Compatible" or something like that.

What version of Windows 7 are you on; as in Home, etc.?

The Windows 7 I'm running is home. And yes the command box pops up but closes quickly. Also there are not any new files or items at all. This has been hitting on my nerves for the pass few days now.

hello first let me state im a total noob at this! so please be patient and understanding with that my question for this is, am i to have homebrew first installed onto my psp go before im able to load the eboot on? because its been at the system menu "unpacking" for a while now....thanks.
