Hacking How to run GC games on softmod wii?

Could anytell tell me how I can run my GC backups (NTSC games) on my softmodded PAL wii?
I tried running some through Neogamma (newest beta) and it recognizes the disc but there's just a black screen and nothing happens.

GC back up launcher.2 and patch your mios to v8.

The reason i posted in addition to searching is that the topics found weren't up to date, since I don't know much about softmodding and just followed to guide, I wanted to be sure I didn't brick by installing wrong versions and getting some spooky conflict. Thanks for your answer though
