Hacking How to run "DS #DSi"labeled releases?

I've never been able to run a single "ds dsixxx" labeled rom. I understand that they are dsi enhanced but not dsi exclusive. So, how can people play them?

I have a dslite with an old clone (R4 from ndslr4.com) and ysmenu + v6.35 (which has the cited rom fixed.)

What's the extension? It should be .nds, not .ndsi or .dsi.

you have to wait for a update or patch to play it.
other people can play it because their flashcarts has the support to.
such as acekard 2i, with AAP and DSTWO with clean mode.

Just change the extension to .nds, patch with AP if needed (I don't think any do currently, but I could be wrong) and launch from the cart. That should be it.

DS ROMs play in 'DS mode' on a flashcart regardless of whether they are DSi enhanced or not. This is because the DSi mode has yet to be 'cracked'.
DSi enhanced games should still function normally, just without the features found on the DSi. The problem is your flashcart, not necessarily the ROM you're using.
