How to reset a game...

One game = drivng me mad all morning
super mario 3d world + bowswers fury

I have been looking for a saved game and it imported successfully but my charcters are flashing and then they jump really high...

I think I have enabled cheats SOMEWHERe and spent all morning trying to remove them, I then removed the game and re-installed BUT the cheat remained there.

I can't remember exactly where and how but where on the SD card do I actually need to remove all remnants of this game before I attempt to re-install or is there an app that I need to use to clear the settings for this game in specific?


p.s any known problems for booting into the switch I just updated to v18 fm recently and it would sometimes struggle to boot and get stuck on the nintendo screen

Try to see if you can activate Edizon/Tesla and see if the cheat might be there :

Also Atmosphere (the CFW that most people run) has a cheat feature.
They are stored in this folder structure on your SD card.:
atmosphere/contents/<title_id>/cheats/<build_id>.txt
Don't delete the atmosphere/contents folder completely because there is also other stuff in there besides cheats.

The game itself is stored either inside our emummc or on the SD card in the Nintendo folder.
Deleting it from the Nintendo Swith settings menu is sufficient.
The game save files are stored somewhere else and will not be deleted.
With JKSV I think you can completely erase the save game for a specific game.
Potential cheat files are never stored in the Nintendo folder so if the cheat remains, it is indeed somewhere else.

thanks it is very helpful I am just looking in the atmosphere/contents/ folder and dying to find the LONG GAME ID lol

I will delete that folder and try to reinstall.....

do u know much about the booting screen that gets stuck?
reading around it is a known issue i only updated hekate is it worth updating atmosphere too?
