Hacking how to remove custom fireware from psp

Yeah. If you're on Pro-B firmware, you can just uninstall it. Alternatively you use Hellcat's recovery flasher.

It amazes me how so many people misspell or mispronounce that word. It doesn't seem like it should be so difficult.
I loled when AW called it frimware once.

BTW-- you should leave cfw in. It is a gift. A precious gift.

Can't you just use the downgrader or install a newer version of firmware over a CFW

the problem is it came with firmware 4.XX the x's mean's i don't rember so yeah...

if your on a newer firmware just boot it to official and walk in the store with it on sleep...the leave a little note in the battery case saying HACKED! lol

seriously just update with 6.39 official if your on 6.39 pro or ME ...then boot official and sell it..for ME (neuron's cfw) just hold home (i think) and for pro LCFW just shutdown! and if your on 6.20 perm patch...i believe you hold home too..

For Pro-B, just uninstall permanent patch!

Hold HOME button while booting up. That will put the Pro-B firmware in OFW. Now go and sell it. And i believe 90% of those buying the phat are going to hack it anyways.. you just made it easier for them. And those that buy it after wont affect anything. They can play all their UMD with no problems and they can update it easily. I bought my PSP for around 18 USD. I doubt u get that much selling it to gamestop.

And lol that nobody mentions how to actually put it back to OFW without updating it.
Simply run the permament patcher and uninstall the permament patcher.(Doesnt matter which version u take the patcher from since all of them works the same way with different names ex: pro-b2, pro-b7)
Run any updater, just make sure its not lower than your currently CFW.
There should be a uninstall button there, but to be sure, update your CFW to the installer you got. I believe you have to hold L+X to update the firmware.
Run the installer again and find the uninstall button combination. Run it and tadaa ur back on OFW without having to find the EBOOT.php for the firmware ur updating it to.

Gamestop employees are dumb... I used to check Xbox dvd drives right in front of them when buying used.

Don't upgrade any higher, bc someone like me will want that lower FW when buying so we can CFW the thing.

First of all.. the PSP isnt a DS. The flashcart isnt exactly the memorystick.. The psp boots up in PRO-B without the memory stick since he is on a permament firmware.
As for the lower firmware. He owns a phat model so everyone can downgrade it no matter what. Pandora, downgrader for 6.35/639. The 6.40 update is kinda special and i doubt he will be able to update to that firmware.

I think you only need a 6.39 installer, and install it. The next owner can install 6.39ME-8 without any pandora battery...
