Hacking How to reformat to pre-existing state

I loaded a bad IOS16 that was corrupt and have tried to get rid of it using the cIOS Uninstaller both 1.1 and 1.0. I am not sure if everything is gone because I still keep getting errors (ret =-1035) that no one else does in these circumstances. I'm in 3.3U and have tried to downgrade firmwares and I feel that there are remnants of useless and possibly harmful cIOS's installed. I wanted to simply install BackupLoader .3gamma after installing Homebrew channel but I then had to downgrade my firmware; that's where it went all wrong with the IOS16 being corrupt.
Is there a way to start over without purchasing a new wii or sending it back if still under warranty?
