You don't need patched TWL firm for DSiWare but for custom/unsigned dsiware.

I want it patched so I can use the TWL flash cart launcher but my dsiware games will not work in AuReiNand either.

Are you using sysnand or emunand? If emunand, install to sysnand also. To patch TWL, download it from that ISO site. It's in the CFW section.

It's black because you don't have firmware90.bin file in your rei folder.

When do we guessed he was using AuReiNand?

If you are using AuReiNand, you may be lacking the firmware90.bin inside the rei folder. You can find this file inside the FIRM.7z download at the readme file in the AuReiNand Github.

1. Google "Aureinand github"
2. Enter Aureinand github (2nd link)
3. Scroll down to readme
4. Locate FIRM.7z link in readme (Zippyshare link)
5. Get yout firmware90.bin file from inside the A9LH folder and the folder for your system:
n3ds is new3ds, o3ds is old 3ds
6. Follow aureinand post instructions to install that file
7. Try to boot again with L
8. ??????
9. Profits
