ROM Hack how to open ingame menu (ntr cfw)

I tried games that do have in-game-menu stated and no cheats appear within the ntr-menu, and yes i did everything correctly with the files. example mario 3d land USA says in game menu yet nothing is there!

Quite the necro...
A lot of recent plugins are opened with the select button in-game, so try that

Some how i got Castlevania to work.. though there is no in-game-menu just triggers. I press x+y then the trigger buttons.

OK, for super Mario 3D land, the codes are for the "second item", the item in the circle on the bottom screen. you HAVE to an item for it to work....

Button_D = Dpad

BUTTON_SELECT + BUTTON_DRight: Mushroom
BUTTON_SELECT + BUTTON_DLeft: Fire Flower
BUTTON_SELECT + BUTTON_DUp: Raccoon Leaf
BUTTON_SELECT + BUTTON_DDown: Stone Raccoon Leaf
BUTTON_SELECT + BUTTON_R: Boomerang flower
BUTTON_SELECT + BUTTON_L: P-Wing (that takes you to the goal)

i looked into the link it posted, but idk why it says there's a menu when according to the included source there's not?

just to make sure. you did have an item in that circle on the bottom screen right? cuz that how i was testing the codes....
once you activate the codes you tap on the item on the bottom screen...
sadly, its not an instant change....

ohh i see, it works this way now thanks. i wish they would post content with specific details on how to operate them really frustrating!

the only reason i was able to figure it out was because i look at the code structure and work from that, from the source there, it was writing multiple codes to the same address, so i figure it must the "holding item" address, since if you're familiar with super Mario world 3d land for wiiu, its very similiar.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

and yes i agree, its difficult when there's no readme on how to use the plugin.
