Ho'kay, I am getting my 3ds in a few days, it's a new 3ds XL Hyrule edition on firmware 9.0-9.2 and I have been reading the A9LH and Luma installation guide (that pretty everyone on this site is recommending) for the last 3 days, over and over, in preparation. My concern at the moment is now to NOT update on accident before I even get to install A9LH and Luma. The guide says to create an internet connection and I imagine the minute I do that the 3DS is going to start asking to update, right? I had a normal DS back in the day and bought my GF a 3ds to play pokemon on but I honestly have never even turned one on myself, so... Is there anything I need to know about this seemingly simple first step? Just on a side note, if anyone wants to discuss this: Everyone is joining this "master race" of 3ds users but how long, exactly, has A9LH (and Luma) been out and how often do they need to update? How hard is it to update these applications (well I heard Luma has an auto-updater)? And... is there a chance of bricking during updates or normal usage of CFW?
