Im on 3.55 CF and I decide to keep my ps3 offline.
I used login to psn but now I made my network disable settings. Can my ps3 still use these settings to contact sony servers? Should I just erase login password or change wi-fi password to be clear?
There is no unsecured wi-fi spots in my area.

just disable internet connection under the network settings

and yes erase your login information JUST in case.

And if youre not really paranoid you can just block playstation.net from your router. I have reasons to believe that the information sent to sony is to a playstation.net web address anyways so blocking it just block connection between sony and the ps3. That way you keep FTP, Web browsing and multiman online updating...

-open PS3 up
-Smash WiFi component

*SMH* Why bother? Your PS3 is hacked and you fear banning? You're practically banned already if you don't sign on to PSN
