Moe's Tutorial works and is great , but you really do have to follow the steps as he has listed them - you cant expect help if your randomly using files without following the guide.

I'm having the classic "dvd read error" with any DVDs (sony DVD-R, TDK DVD-R) that I burned at 2x / 4x with imgburn using the ISOs from rawdump.

My question is, I did the Big Moe's Installer V3, but did not downgrade my Wii to 3.2. I'm at 3.3.

Do I absolutely need to downgrade?

Another question, if my setup is working properly, am I supposed to be able to run original games within the gamma backup loader?

downgrade is not needed though it is recommended , and if the setup is right you should be able to run an original game via Gamma loader , and that's how we usually check it out

well it was 3.4U until I downgraded it to 3.3U. NTSC-U. The firmware downgrader works fine, and when checking the network, it works fine. I think it's a Custom Wad specific problem.

ok I don't know what you did exactly but downgraded before installing Ios16 and Cios_fix that means it will be a corruption in the system file structure , and by the way why downgrade to 3.3 cause it is not stable system menu , 3.2 is the recommended system menu to use , so if we get somewhere here , the issue is you didn't follow my tutorial and you did steps in a random choice which is wrong my friend , to achieve success please update back to 3.4 then follow my tutorial from scratch and if any problem at that time please post back here and I'll fix it as I promised , thanks for following the step by step tutorial FIRST

Actually, I did follow your "step by step" tutorial. Your fellow friend Jytach recommended I try other things while waiting for (still) unanswered questions, so I used the downgrader to see if the network was the problem or just the Custom Wad.

Oh and by the way, that comment didn't solve anything except establishing the fact that I went ahead one step. Sure, I'll take your advice. I'll upgrade back to 3.4. Then what? you didn't really answer my question, but thanks for the help.

EDIT: Now they both don't work T_T' How do I uninstall/fix this.

Firstly, thank you Big Moe for the excellent package.

Can someone please confirm something for me? I am having the problem with WiiWare games rebooting to the system menu, and I was told to fix it I needed to install "cIOS37_rev3" using "IOS37-64-v2070.wad". However, Big Moe's cIOS_Installer Gamma (#8 in the HBC) says "cIOS36_rev7", and in the WAD folder on the SD card there is "IOS38-64-v3609.wad".

It appears that "cIOS37_rev3" is newer than what's in Big Moe's installer, but "IOS37-64-v2070.wad" is older. Is this observation correct? And, if so, should I use the IOS37.wad as directed, or should I use the IOS38.wad from Big Moe's files?

thanks for all the help Moe and all. I have everything working other than my backups.. it just spins then gives an error, I'm guessing this is the disks... I've also tried burning at 2x

if the problem with Cios_fix just use anytitledeleter and delete ios249 then reinstall Cios_fix using VWM and this is with the confirmation of installing ios16 first ??

"cIOS36_rev7" is the newest by Waninkoko with the support of Gamma and Homebrew and Wiiware , my question is ??? the source of your WiiWare is it trusted ?? now however you can still try installing "cIOS37_rev3" and see if it does solve the issue other wise reinstall cIOS36_rev7 and that's where we started from

after many tests on many kinds of media the best results where achieved with this combination :

Verbatim DVD-r + Imgburn + x4 burning speed = success game disc

Yes, the first two applications went smoothly. I tried the third one, the IOS downgrader I believe, a few times, but the same error kept occuring. A network error. So i tried to skip over to the next one (Firmware downgrader) which also tests the network, and it worked. I downgraded to 3.2 U, but I thought 3.3 U was the stable one, I couldn't find it though, but then I did so I upgraded to 3.3. So now, both the IOS (3rd app) and cIOS Downgrader (4th app) don't work (both have network errors).

Once finish the previous steps that got cancelled out, then what? When I get the "Network error", then what?

no don't use cIOS_uninstaller , use anytitledeleter first and delete IOS249 most of the times it will work then reinstall cIOS_fix and continue ,in case that didn't work go ahead and try cIOS_uninstaller v1.1 first if no success use v1.0 it should work
