downgrade is not needed though it is recommended , and if the setup is right you should be able to run an original game via Gamma loader , and that's how we usually check it outzigora said:I'm having the classic "dvd read error" with any DVDs (sony DVD-R, TDK DVD-R) that I burned at 2x / 4x with imgburn using the ISOs from rawdump.
My question is, I did the Big Moe's Installer V3, but did not downgrade my Wii to 3.2. I'm at 3.3.
Do I absolutely need to downgrade?
Another question, if my setup is working properly, am I supposed to be able to run original games within the gamma backup loader?
Thanks.
thanks TAZ , that's exactly what I'm trying to say here buddy , and thanks for the testimony that's an honor to me my frienddjtaz said:Moe's Tutorial works and is great , but you really do have to follow the steps as he has listed them - you cant expect help if your randomly using files without following the guide.
Stick to exactly as he has instructed and you will be smiling fairly soon.

well it was 3.4U until I downgraded it to 3.3U. NTSC-U. The firmware downgrader works fine, and when checking the network, it works fine. I think it's a Custom Wad specific problem.![]()

Actually, I did follow your "step by step" tutorial. Your fellow friend Jytach recommended I try other things while waiting for (still) unanswered questions, so I used the downgrader to see if the network was the problem or just the Custom Wad.
Oh and by the way, that comment didn't solve anything except establishing the fact that I went ahead one step. Sure, I'll take your advice. I'll upgrade back to 3.4. Then what? you didn't really answer my question, but thanks for the help.![]()
EDIT: Now they both don't work T_T' How do I uninstall/fix this.
after many tests on many kinds of media the best results where achieved with this combination :gonzoPHD said:Firstly, thank you Big Moe for the excellent package.
Can someone please confirm something for me? I am having the problem with WiiWare games rebooting to the system menu, and I was told to fix it I needed to install "cIOS37_rev3" using "IOS37-64-v2070.wad". However, Big Moe's cIOS_Installer Gamma (#8 in the HBC) says "cIOS36_rev7", and in the WAD folder on the SD card there is "IOS38-64-v3609.wad".
It appears that "cIOS37_rev3" is newer than what's in Big Moe's installer, but "IOS37-64-v2070.wad" is older. Is this observation correct? And, if so, should I use the IOS37.wad as directed, or should I use the IOS38.wad from Big Moe's files?
Thank you.
"cIOS36_rev7" is the newest by Waninkoko with the support of Gamma and Homebrew and Wiiware , my question is ??? the source of your WiiWare is it trusted ?? now however you can still try installing "cIOS37_rev3" and see if it does solve the issue other wise reinstall cIOS36_rev7 and that's where we started from![]()

if the problem with Cios_fix just use anytitledeleter and delete ios249 then reinstall Cios_fix using VWM and this is with the confirmation of installing ios16 first ??
ok now did you install IOS16 and Cios_fix successfully ??? and if that is done did you run IOS downgrader first before cIOS Downgrader and if any errors did you do it again for a few times till success ??? please try that if you didn't and post back , cause I downgraded 3 Wiis today from 3.4u with no issues , not even one error !!Platinum* said:kinda obvious. the base of this whole question was obviously the ios downgrade, and then you said I'd have to upgrade to 3.4 and then back down to 3.2 which means the cios downgrade. I don't think those are the exact names, but I remember the app. numbers (3 and 4). They both have network errors now.![]()

ok when you upgraded back to 3.3 you actually override the previous two steps so reinstall IOS16 and cIOS_fix and then run the IOS Downgrader then cIOS Downgrader to 3.2 and all should work finePlatinum* said:BIG MOE said:ok now did you install IOS16 and Cios_fix successfully ??? and if that is done did you run IOS downgrader first before cIOS Downgrader and if any errors did you do it again for a few times till success ??? please try that if you didn't and post back , cause I downgraded 3 Wiis today from 3.4u with no issues , not even one error !!Platinum* said:kinda obvious. the base of this whole question was obviously the ios downgrade, and then you said I'd have to upgrade to 3.4 and then back down to 3.2 which means the cios downgrade. Yes, the first two applications went smoothly. I tried the third one, the IOS downgrader I believe, a few times, but the same error kept occuring. A network error. So i tried to skip over to the next one (Firmware downgrader) which also tests the network, and it worked. I downgraded to 3.2 U, but I thought 3.3 U was the stable one, I couldn't find it though, but then I did so I upgraded to 3.3. So now, both the IOS (3rd app) and cIOS Downgrader (4th app) don't work (both have network errors).

K so the first two apps and then back in order. And still, sorry to seem buggish, but you still haven't answered the root of the questionOnce finish the previous steps that got cancelled out, then what? When I get the "Network error", then what?![]()

turcha bug .(if any errors accured run the downgrader again til no more errors)(3.1 users skip to next step )

- First run anytitle deleter and skip errors and if u see ios249 try deleting it is uncessfull (probably)
- try with cios_uninstaller v1.1 (also fail probably)
- then use cios_uninstaller v1.0 (sucess probably)
- then install ios 16 with wad manager and cios_fix with custom wad manager
- then continue steps wink.gif
I couldn't really understand that very well. What's a title deleter and ios249
no don't use cIOS_uninstaller , use anytitledeleter first and delete IOS249 most of the times it will work then reinstall cIOS_fix and continue ,in case that didn't work go ahead and try cIOS_uninstaller v1.1 first if no success use v1.0 it should workJytach said:gigasguy said:PS:if you get error = -1035 please follow these steps to solve it ( thanks to OLVAP337 for this infos )

You will find and be able to remove IOS 249 (if you have it installed) using this program.
However, he is saying that this probably won't work. You must use cios_uninstaller 1.0
Just google it =)
** IOS 249 is a custom IOS (cIOS)
