Homebrew how to get free games without sd card

hey i was using the WUP installer method to get free games on my wii u since then i have gotten a larger usb stick (32GB -> 64GB) and i have since then missplaced my 16gb sd card and now i cant use the WUP method is there any methods out there to install them directly with out the use of a sd card or do i need a sd card. worst come to worst ill just have to borrow my dads appapter
