I tried it...

Well the thing is I didnt do anything that would brick the psp. I dont even use CWS as I dont use psp much(its more like a collection for me).

When I turn it on, nothing happens, no light turns on...

If the MS light is blinking constantly, then take the MS out (that fixed my problems with a fake MS). If there is no green light, check the battery (bit obvious, but needs to be said). If there's only a green light, then try recovery mode (holding R when booting). If there are indeed no lights as you say, then it's likely that the battery's at fault, unless you dropped it...

If you've done nothing to brick it, and don't use CFW, then my only idea is if it was dropped. If so, then maybe send it in for warranty fixing?

EDIT: Try with the charger out and with the charger in. Or try getting a friend's PSP and using their memory card and battery. Those are my last troubleshooting ideas, but at least you got plenty to go on.

These are the very basics I have done and woudnt post here before doing those... no lights are on, no lights flashing..
No I didnt drop my psp, it was in the gamecase on my desk.

I played DBZ-Shin Budokai in the moring and left it in the gamecase afterwards.. thats all I did.
No, nothing smells burnt...

btw its psp phat.

edit: I am gonna try out the battary on someone elses psp, lets see if the batary is faulty..

Well, you say you've done nothing to make it brick, but what have you done with it?
Downloading a custom theme can brick it =\

Alrite, a guy from local store fixed it for me.
But now I got CFW.

So where in the memory stick do I put my backups?
I also have some psx backups where do I put them?

Well all CSO files just need to be placed in a folder called: ISO on your Memory Stick's Root.
