Hi Folks,

I just wanted to know, how do I find out the save type of an NDS rom. Like is there a tool for it or something else. The reason I need to know is, I own a Supercard DS and i have to manually set the save type for some roms.

Unlike the GBA it is not stored in the header leaving you to either pull apart the original cart or brute force it.

It is a good bet though that a Euro dump is the same as the US/Japanese counterpart.

Many websites and databases including this one carry save type info.

Well i thought there might have been a tool or something to get that info out of the rom.
Most websites might have those databases, but they aren't all up to date. So i'm stuck with my trial and error method.

To find out save type you have to manually test a ROM or extract its save file to check what size it is. That's why most ROM lists don't give a save type as it's far too much effort.
