How to extract files from a DLC file?

    I have already decrypted the DLC file(.app) to app.out
    Then,how can I extract files like textures from it?

    What DLC is this, not all DLC have textures included (as some dirty devs kept them in the main game! :O)

    try:
    ctrtool -p --romfs=romfs.bin --exefs=exefs.bin --exheader=exheader.bin APP.OUT
    ctrtool -t romfs --romfsdir=romfs romfs.bin

    Question: How do you decrypt DLC to get the app.out file?

    just like anything on the sd card, use the sd decryptor option in the multi decryptor

    Huh. I had used Multi Decryptor before and was unaware that it worked for DLC as well. Nice to know.

    Unfortunately I'm not familiar with 3DS multi decryptor. I've only used the old version that only supported xorpad generation from ncchinfo.bin...

    This would be similar, except that you have to generate the SDinfo.bin file from a SD that has the DLC files in it from when you installed it to emuNAND, right?

    it's possible to dump sound file from the TFF Curtain Call DLC ?

    yes, it is possible - but maybe the sound is difficult to extract.

    do you know how to decrypt eshop games? :) dlc is the same...

    yes i know how to dump, decrypt, and extract data from eshop game, i have already do it for some games

    how about swapping sound files, like swapping persona Q japanese & english navigator voice to make it undubbed?
    any suggestion on how to do it?

    Sorry for digging up an old thread.
    My DLC (Daigasso! Band Brothers P) has multiple .app files (00000008.app 0000000c.app 0000000d.app).
    I've decrypted them and generated .out files, but I can't find a way to extract them (ctrtool tells me "unknown file"). How would I extract it?
