How would you go about dumping pogoshell saves to use on emulators? Ive tried using ucon to dump the full save and loading it in sramexplorer but it will not load the dump.

Do try whatever normal methods you have to dump hardware saves and import them into emulators (import functions tending to be the suggested way for older versions of VBA at least rather than trying to rename files and have them loaded "normally".

I also don't know what pogoshell would have done -- pogoshell often had access to developer/flash cart libraries so might have stuck save data in a random page or something compared to conventional games that emulators expect to be handling. Kuwanger's tweaked versions might dodge some of that (they were generally made to remove all the code associated with legacy flash carts) but that will likely not help much with extant saves on flash carts.

AFAIK Pogoshell always loads the save to the "current game" to bank 1 and all other saves sit compressed in the other three banks, at least for F2A carts. IIRC I loaded the game I wanted the save of and then just dumped bank 1.

I figured it out. I had to make sure all the saves were saved on the cart. Then I dumped the full save with ucon64 and imported it with sramexplorer. All the saves work except castlevania harmony of dissonance. I wonder what pogoshell is doing to that save.
