Ok...I think I am officially a GBAtemp addict b/c of all the nintendo fans out there that I can always ask for help or just chat with. ^^ BUT how popular is it? How do you guys think it fairs with other mainstream websites like gamespot and gamefaqs?

Well, we've got a database of over 100,000 members. I'm sure that there are a lot of unactive accounts, but it's still pretty good. We're the most popular NDS Scene website, that's for sure. We're number one yo.

I could certainly go into a long diatribe about why GBATemp is much better than those sites, but instead, I'll just give a simple response:

Gamefaqs BLOWS!

Hmm, well, the cheat database I main gets around 10.000-15,000+ downloads a month and growing and thats just a small off shoot from GBATemp. So I have to say, GBATemp is very popular.

+1

I'd agree this community is one of the most popular on Nintendo scene..

I've seen link to GBAtemp on so many web-sites, or online shops..People on other forums recommend GBAtemp for guides, downloads, help or just easy-talk..

I think we have one of the best and very popular web site....

The estimated value of http://www.gbatemp.net is: $97,960

This value is calculated based on several factors shown above, including: Links, Traffic (Alexa), age of the domain, site category, domain keyword popularity, and overall occurrences of the domain name on the web.

woot?

I find it rare to be able to jump into a forum with such decently well thought out (and well maintained) forums. There has only been one other forum w/ such great people and a lack of asses with r33t sp33k and shitty responses... and that was a toker's forum i haven't been able to visit... since my only real web access is at work... and THAT wouldn't work well lol.

But yea, this place is great. TONS of info from all over, and decent people running around. I mean, all the people that aren't radioactive are decent. I'm kind of wary of the green glowy people. >_>

Well, GBATemp pops up on Google on almost every search with the words "NDS", "Wii", "Flashcart" and more

So it's a loooooooot popular

That's pretty fucking awesome. Almost a $100,000...now I wouldn't blame if the administrators decided to sell the site to CNET

Don't mention that... ugh.
Gbatemp is a pretty awesome place and I even stopped coming for the scene news but rather for the great community which I have come to love.

If you go by average users at any one time, we average around 1500-2000 online at any time of day, wheras gamefaqs averages 4-5000.
Just for comparsion sake, right now:

Us: There are 1872 online users browsing:
GF: There are approximately 5325 registered users currently using the message boards.

Considering GF is twice as old as we are, and has way more content for mainstream gamers (i.e not pirates), I'd say were doing extremely well.

After going to gamespot and other game affiliated sites, I personally want to thank Costello and all the other members who help keep this site alive and advertisement free ^^
