Hacking How often does Team Cyclops update the firmware?

They do it quite often. But dont count on it lasting forever! It took them 1 month last time, but they had to do a bunch of stuff.
 
There are frequent betas to test new features, but firmware updates aren't as common. The reason being that the CycloDS is nearly future-proof and thus does not need to update to fix ROM compatibility, like most other cards do.

That's cool how did they manage to do that, and why aren't other carts doing it also?

Actually, if you look through TC's CycloDS news page you will see that every fw release so far has had rom compatibility fixes in it.

but these updates are far less in quantity then the competition and include mostly abnormal games such as BBDX with its large save chip as opposed to fixes for every anti-piracy attempt known to man.
