I have an Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T5550, which has a processing speed of 1.83GHz (Sorry if I sound like a complete noob, but with computer terms, I kind of am).

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 supposedly requires a minimum of 3.0 GHz. My question is, how much will my CPU's processing speed affect my gameplay? Everything else is either minimum, or above minimum according to the specs list for MW2.

well I guess the minimum of 3 GHz is for Pentium 4 Processors, which are single core and despite of 3 GHz still a lot slower than most Core 2 Duos

Actually most games don't need an ultrahighspecced proc, they need mostly a good GPU since it handles most intensive calculations in those games
