Just as the topic states, how many of you use the cheat files from the massive cheat database found here. I'm simply curious, thats all. Also what are your thoughts on the project?

Normally not, but depending on the game I do.

Using it for Prof. Layton, and used it for Touch the Dead. That was great, blasted through the whole game in way under an hour!!

Its nice for non "cheaters" out there too, every game in the cheat database contains a blacklight code that lets you use a button combination to change the backlight of the DS while still in the game. Its handy to change the games default brightness and while your on the go to lower it and save some power.

Also theres quite a few games that have codes to fix problems with some games, like Crystal Chronicles Thanks for Playing" bug, as well as odes to disable the Syn to make the game run faster and smoother among other codes.

Sometimes I just like to enjoy unloading ridiculous amounts of ammo into things.

You too? Nothing like carrying a gun that never runs out of ammo.

Dragon Quest Monster: Joker (E)
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates (E)
Freshly-Picked: Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland (E)
Geometry Wars: Galaxies (E)
High School Musical 2: Work This Out (E)
Legend Of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, The (E)

Are some games that have the disable Vsync code.

I use the cheat database. Always updated with new codes. I only use codes when I feel that the game will take way to long to finish or hard but I barely use them. only on a few games but replaying a game with infinite health and ammo makes killing a breeze.

I mostly use the backlight codes. I do use cheats occasionally, just to get past some part I may be stuck in or to make a game more fun though.

One thing I can say for sure, and I'm sure the community agrees, Narin is doing a GREAT job with the dat since I passed it to him. Keep up the excellent work.

I never cheat while playing the game first time..But once it's finished (and I always play all games to complete 100%), then I like to fool around with cheats that let me go out of boundaries in the game, or let me fly so I can jump the whole levels in few seconds..something like that..
Also, if I find some game boring and don't feel like finishing it, then I play with cheats..

Never used cheat codes in the 30 years that I've been gaming ... to me, it defeats the objective ...

That´s nice. To be honest, I just don´t have the time to play everything through.

I don´t use (abuse) cheats on consoles, but I don´t mind using them on handhelds for games I wouldn´t bother with any way.

HOWEVER!!!, I love walkthroughs. I grab pretty much every one I can. It is a little bit like cheating, but you still have to "bend over and pick up the coin."

Since I don´t have much time (and yes I´m using time now, but this little bit of time isn´t going to get me any further in any decent game), walkthroughs are indispensable. For the best games I just want to see everything, but I don´t want to spend weeks, or God forbid, months doing it. I´m old enough already, not getting younger, and I´m for sure not getting faster. If I´m stuck somewhere, I don´t mind trying a couple of times, but I´m not going to spend a whole day trying to get past one point.

Enough rambling, you get the point. LONG LIVE THE WALKTHROUGHS!
