I understand that from a programming standpoint, it's a lot easier to produce a hidden object game than it is to make ,say, an RPG or SHMUP. But just how many of these games do we need? It seems at least ten of these pop up every week. I enjoy the occasional HOG, but once you've played one you've really played them all. Just because they can be produced so quickly doesn't mean they they should. Is anyone else with me, or am I just crazy?
