Somewhat important, I don't depend on it, but it's nice to have.
I don't think I chose wisely, now.
Whenever I'm on a trip or something, I usually don't use PC/internet at all. Sometimes we get that feeling that "something"'s gonna miss if we're not online, but it doesn't really matter at all, not to me at least. I'm usually way more outgoing, care more about my friends and get out more when I don't have internet, and when it's back, I always feel like it's such a bore and wonder why do I waste so much time in it. Then, three or four days later, I'm hooked again because I don't know how to quit. (proof: it's 1:33 AM right now, and I wish I had gone to bed 2 hours before)
My brother usually turns on the PC, stays for a half hour, gets out. I wish he didn't turn it on, sit to check a thing or two and when I see it, I've spent hours and hours in there. Another thing is that I'm a download junkie: whenever I turn on the PC, it's cause I'm downloading something. Next thing I know, I'm at some forums again, and there goes some other hours...
I'm not actually THAT slave to the internet as it sounds on this post, but it drains more of my time than I wish it did. With the expection of my downloads, if my net/computer was gone by tomorrow, I wouldn't really miss it.
