Gaming How Far are You On Dragon Quest IX?

Post how far you are into the game (Is it just me or is this the hardest & most addictive Dragon Quest ever?)
Sorry, bit of a spoiler here. (Don't know how to do hide/show spoiler)
I've found Abbot Jack (a.k.a Master of Nu'Un) and can't beat him
I need to rescue Jona from Llvethian (or however you spell it)
And after a day of trying to beat them, I feel like this:

Collected all 7 Fyggs. Currently grinding to buy the best weapons/armour in Wormwood Creek before continuing the story.

Now grinding outside Upover for the same reason.

I just saved after beating the black dragon in the Realm of the Mighty.

I'm at Abbot Jack, doing a Ministrel side misison before i change to a mage. Currently to busy completing Order of Ecclesia though, so close now!

I finished the game just yesturday. The ending was a bit...awkward.

Finished the game, doing the story quests as they become available. Started playing DQ4 few days ago and i'm in 4th chapter now. After i finish that i'll start playing DQ5. DQ9 really was a good kick in my butt into the DQ series, earlier i couldn't get past the localisation in DQ4/5.

I also beat the game. I was doing treasure map and level 40 job quest, until monster rancher came out. =P
