I want to extract game files using the contents in my mSD, and use them to make mods in layeredFS.

eShop games are stored in
Code:
mSD:/Nintendo/Registered/Contents/

It’s easy to dump game cards into nca, then convert them to layeredFS but no ides what’s the process for digital only games.

You can use Nxdumptool to dump the eshop game as a nsp file, or ExeFS/RomFS file with options.

Note: You'll probably need keys: sdmc:/switch/prod.keys

I have gcdumptool which say “nxdumptool” by DarkMatterCore, but AFAIK it only dumps game cards.

I don't know if they're the same or not, but if you have version 1.1.3 installed from the homebrew store, it works for me.

Ok, I have it, now it says: error: unable to open “sdmc:/switch/prod.keys” to retrieve “eticket_rsa_kek”, titlekeks and KAEKs!

I'm assuming you have switch keys on your pc for making mods correct? You need to put them: sdmc:/switch/prod.keys

It’s weird that only gcdumptool get listed when searching nxdumptool in HBAS, I always thought gcdumptool was the more advanced version, but it’s not the case.
