Hacking How exactly does the cheat system work?

I'm asking since I copied the huge database of cheats found on this website but some games can't seem to find their codes, even if they're listed in the cheat database. When I enter the cheat screen, it is just blank. I checked the database and the Game ID is write. Am I doing anything wrong?

did u put in the right cheat file?
for the DSTT its a usrcheat.dat file make sure its not other kind cuz it wond work
or perhaps ur game mite be a new one and the database just hasnt been updated w/ those codes for the game

check ur cheatt file it mite be the problem

It is a urscheat.dat file and the games are on the database.

Did you put usercheat.dat in the TTMenu folder (replacing the one that's already there)?

To think, I decided to some to the DSTT forum and see if anyone needed a bit of help.
