From what I learned nintendont isn't an emulator for the wii. It just runs rooms through the backwards compatibility thing on the Wii if im right, I read that somewhere. The Wii u removed GameCube compatability, so how does the Wii u run nintendont then?

Because the wii chipset is pretty much just an updated version of the chips in the gamecube.

When you play a gamecube game on Wii the system just switches of the wii features that are not needed for gamecube games to work.

On wiiu nintendont runs the game on vWii again just switching off the unneeded features.

The Wii U in its virtual Will mode which is what Nintendont uses is for all intents and purposes a fully functioning wii console, including its ability to play GC games. All they really did to remove GC compatibility was not include a a DVD drive that can read the GC discs and not include ports for the controllers and memory cards.

Nintendont is a Wii mode homebrew - it has to, to be able to access bluetooth and USB

The fact it happens to run Gamecube software through virtualization (by providing the glue logic to convert Gamecube memory addresses and hardware to the Wii mode equivalents, redirect disc reads to a file, optionally emulate GC controllers and memory cards, ...) doesn't change the above fact :)

The official GC mode already became officially unavailable - and unusable without adding GC ports - even on horizontal Wiis which also removed 40 cents of mechanical parts to support miniDVD, no need to bother the WiiU :D
