How do you show hidden folders in XP?

i tried going into folder options and applying the settings to show extensions and hidden folders but it won't save, also the account is an administrator account

tools>folder options>view>show hidden files and folders
i'd also suggest unchecking "Hide protected operating system files (recommended)" and "Hide file extensions for known file types"

i already said that i did that, it wouldnt save, also i meant for this to be in the forum

nevermind i fixed it through regedit
