I'm able to save states but once i try to save SRM it tells me that my memory card isn't mounted. And how do you convert the snes9x state files to work on zsnes so i can pick up where i left off on my computer?
why not use snes9x in windows also?JJBro1 said:I'm able to save states but once i try to save SRM it tells me that my memory card isn't mounted. And how do you convert the snes9x state files to work on zsnes so i can pick up where i left off on my computer?
i think i tried it once but i like zsnes betterMagusDraco said:You have to go to memory card mode with wiiSD not SD Card mode with wiiSD.
It's weird but that's what you got to do.
Also, the .SRM files are random letters or something so you can't import them in from another emulator or something.ok i did what you said and i successfully saved srm. You can import the srm to another emulator you just have to rename it to the name that emulator uses.

just try it with snes9xw first to see if it actually is possible to transfer at all. snes9x is just as good as zsnesJJBro1 said:i think i tried it once but i like zsnes betterMagusDraco said:You have to go to memory card mode with wiiSD not SD Card mode with wiiSD.

well it is possible as i've mentioned above, unless you want to know about snes9x specifically.manias said:just try it with snes9xw first to see if it actually is possible to transfer at all. snes9x is just as good as zsnesJJBro1 said:i think i tried it once but i like zsnes betterMagusDraco said:You have to go to memory card mode with wiiSD not SD Card mode with wiiSD.

some emulators like zsnes for the pc allows you to hold multiple states but snes9x for the wii (to my knowledge) only allows one. To save SRAM you must save like you would do on an original cart and then save the SRAM through the emulator. It takes you to the title screen because you loaded the game save so just keep pressing start and you can continue where you last saved.priapism said:Arakon said:sram is the battery save that existed on the real cart. a savestate saves anywhere and independantly from the sram save, even in games that couldn't save originally.
so is there any way to have multiple save files for the same rom? would sram allow for that?
how do i save with sram then? does it happen automatically?
how come when i load an sram save it takes me to the title screen?
thanks for the help. i just need a little more. haha
ya it automatically detects that last ingame save you made when saving SRM, so anything you do after the ingame save means nothing unless you save ingame again. As for the multiple saves question, i would imagine that it would load and save both slots but im not sure and your welcome.priapism said:^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
oh, i see. that was very helpful, thank you.
i just have one more question. when you say save like you would in the normal game then save the sram through the emulator, does it matter how long after the actual game save that i save the sram through the emulator? will it automatically detect the last actual game save when i do the sram save?
example (because my wording sucks): Super Mario World, i get to a certain point and the 'save your game and continue' box pops up. i save my game. if i play a level and then do an sram save will it revert back to where the actual game save was when i load the sram next time? oh no i thought of another question. since this game has multiple save slots, if i start from a different save slot at the beginning of the game and do an sram save (when the time comes), will i be able to pick either save slot when i load the sram? you know, would multiple save games work like that?
thanks again for the help.
