Hacking How do you play PSX games on PSP

I'm on firmware 3.90 m33-2 on a PSP Phat. I've seen some PSXPSP converted (?) games on a site, and wondered how I would play these on the PSP? Do I just stick them in the ISO folder like a normal PSP Game or is there more that needs doing?

You need to convert the PSX iso to an EBOOT. Then that eboot goes in it's own folder in GAME. Just like homebrew.

There are several converters you can use. I use PopStationGUI 3.00 Beta (not sure where to get the latest though).

Well the iso is labelled as PSXPSP category, so I assume the conversion has already happened, or do I still need to convert it? Also if it goes in to the game folder, how do I access/launch it?

It's probably already converted

Just put it in your GAME directory

EDIT: Yes, it's already converted. Remember to put the entire directory in GAME and you're fine

When you download your PSX iso, it will always be an eboot.pbp file inside a folder if it's already been converted.

ok I extracted the files and out came a key.bin and eboot file. I placed them in their own folder in PSP\GAME\ so it's \psp\game\gamenamefolder\eboot.pbp

it's not showing up in the game section of the xmb

any idea where i'm going wrong?

You only place the eboot file, you don't touch the bin.key file o.O

And you place it IN THE GAME FOLDER, you don't make another one.

It should be PSP/GAME/Eboot file
