How do you dump a GBA game?

For the sake of stating what is hopefully obvious that is DS or DS lite -- no GBA slot on DSi or 3ds families after all. I am not sure what goes for the network GBA dumping options either (wifi/ftp options for DS ROMs are available) so make it a DLDI compatible (all but a very small handful of earlier efforts) DS slot cart as well, though I mention that more in case you see some of the stuff done with download play in recent years.

Marginally relevant at this point as well

Otherwise as above. There are (slow but get you there) methods for link cable approaches (which you will probably have to build http://problemkaputt.de/gbatek.htm#auxxboopctogbamultibootcable https://www.darkfader.net/gba/ https://web.archive.org/web/20150810170955/http://www.devrs.com/gba/files/mbv2faqs.php https://web.archive.org/web/20150810222526/http://reinerziegler.de/GBA/gba.htm ), linkers/cradles for some very old and hard to come by GBA flash carts (that will probably also want Windows XP/virtual machines) or just use said piece of DS homebrew with a DS slot DS flash cart to grab it in seconds and make a shiny copy of the ROM* on your flash cart's SD card and still have a shiny DS flash cart to play with afterwards. The only things likely to trouble you are existing flash carts owing to the way they work, https://mgba.io/2015/10/20/dumping-the-undumped/ and maybe some unofficial hardware things and most people don't care about any of that. Saves might be more of an issue with some dumping tools but plenty of others will handle them happily. I don't think we ever saw dumping tools made for the GBA from other suspects like we have for the GB/GBC and DS.

*most will overdump the GBA games as there is no indicator of what size the game is. https://no-intro.org/tools.htm has GBATA which can sort that well enough.
