Hi guys,

I have an old softmodded wii. I did not softmod this on my own, had someone do it for me for like 10$.

I did this a couple of years ago and I've played a lot of games on it ever since, but as of recently I'm looking into playing Gamecube games and retro games on it... The only problem is, I have no idea how to update it or install the gamecube stuff on it.

The dude basically told me not to take out the SD card and showed me how to install wii games, but nothing else.

Is there a guide I can look at that shows me how to install a gamecube emulator or whatever on my wii?

Am I allowed to remove the SD card without fucking shit up?

I just need some guidance basically, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I took out the SD card on my softmodded wii, and only the covers of the games turned blank on wii flow. games it selves still worked perfectly.

Nintendont is awesome! Games are supported on the SD card as well; if it isn't working from usb you can try sd.

edit: it is fine to take the sd card system out when the system is turned off.

The guy just didn't want you to lose it or delete the apps folder and suddenly not have your wii work when you put it back in.

If you make a backup of everything on the card before changing anything, then you can always revert to the backup if you break something.
