Hacking How do I "test" my ntrboot card?

Hi,
So I have just turned my R4I 3DS into a ntrboot card with my CFW 3DS. When I get the SNES Special Edition I want to hack that with this card. Is there any way to "test" the ntrboot card with my current 3DS, whether it worked? If I just do what you have to do (magnet, X+Start+Select+Power) it just turns out and goes directly into sleep because of the magnet, obviously. Is there any way to see if that card works for ntrboot hacking now? Besides using it on a non hacked 3DS, which I do not have at the moment. Thanks!

Yes. Put all needed files on your SD (if you want to test it, just replace boot.firm with safeB9Sinstaller and rename it to boot.firm, put magnet where it should be and hold all needed buttons. If it boots into SafeB9SInstaller, it workes

Not true. I used gm9 ntr on flashcart when I was testing it and it booted into ntr gm9 (from the flashcart)

it is actually, since you can just name the safeb9sinstaller as ntrboot.firm on the sdcard when you are installing on the new system and keep luma as boot.firm

so it does actually make it useful

allowing for testing on currently hacked systems, and installing on new systems

Yes on the 3DS SD card

You can have it different from the firm on the console.
Either put GM9 on it, or flash your console to stock.

That does not work. Everytime the SD is inserted, it boots the boot.firm from SD, not the NAND. Boots only from there when no SD is inserted. So yeah, no way to test it besides removing b9s from my 3DS, or just waiting for the new device and doing it there.

It should boot boot.firm from SD (which in NTR case should be safeB9Sinstaller renamed to boot.firm)
You can also flash Godmode9_ntr on you flashcard and test it without sd at all.

It boots boot.firm anyway, as I got b9s, so there's probably no way of seeing if the boot.firm boot was now done by my b9s that is already on the device, or by the ntrboot flashcard.
If I try it out, it goes into Luma (or whatever boot.firm is, doesn't really matter in this case). But obviously it also goes into Luma when I do a standard boot of course. So no way of telling the difference.

There is way. Put Godmode9_ntr on you flashcard. That one works without SD . And also when booted from flashcart, it shows message that it is not started from primary storasomething likeinglike that)

See, that's whats confusing me. I thought the boot.firm will be loaded from the 3DS SD, not the Flashcard SD. Now you want me to put Godmode9 onto the Flashcard SD.

[edit] ah... now I got it. the godmode9_ntr must be flashed onto the card directly, by ntrboot flasher.

Yes. And it shows message that it wasn't booted from SD. You also cant access SYSNAND CTRNAND from Godmode9_ntr. Those are 2 ways of knowing if it has booted from flashcart.
