Hacking How do I remove the Homebrew Channel?

I am about to sell my Wii and I'm wondering how i can remove the homebrew channel and any traces of it ever being there.
I know that if I update my Wii to 3.4 it will remove the homebrew channel, but can this in any way damage my Wii now or in future updates?
I've heard something about "any title remover" - what is that and can it help me?
Right now, I have Wii 3.2 (I think)

So how am I suposed to do, the person buying my Wii does not want to have the homebrew channel.

Easiest and fastest way would be formatting the wii from the system settings.
Not sure it deltes all traces, but will remove the channel.
It will also remove all your savegames and mii caracters.

Maybe more, but not sure for the rest.

I am quite sure that it does remove my saved games and Mii characters, and I'm also certain it will remove my VC games, and that's no good.

Nah, I'd feel evil selling them a Wii that could brick after an update...

turn wii on, click: Wii button (bottom left) > data management > channels > select HBC click erase.

Then eventually reinstall it via TH.

Is that really the best way?
I mean, on Homebrew Channels official site it sais:

"Can I easily uninstall the channel?

Ofcourse, just remove it as any other ordinary savegame or channel through "data management" in the Wii settings menu.


Will this remove all traces of the channel?

No, since there are many logs and other tidbits that remain, created by the Wii software. However, none of these should cause any issues. We will address the problems if and when they come."

These traces, is there ANY risk that they will mess up the system?
Is there a better way to erase the channel?
Yes or no, a simle awnser is a good awnser.

Nintendo won't brick the wii of homebrew owners, that would just cost them money (for repairs of wiis that are under warranty)
There is no harm in leaving it on there1

Don't tell how it is used, but it's nice to always have some sort of backdoor, just in case.

Nintendo are assholes, who might do such a thing, I just can't trust them at all.

I removed it once and had to use TH again, so now i move the channel to as far right as possible at bottom of last page of channels... just incase.
