You're really making it more complicated than it should be. Like Quantumcat says, just get an adapter. And if your dad's tools are stolen, just buy a screwdriver. If you're that much of a cheapo (and I can suspect why you'd want to hack your 3DS), just please don't be.

well theres always the option of buying an adapter and a new philips screwdriver
i wouldn't recommend this but you can probably use a butterknife if you are desperate. be careful not to strip the screws.
you can use microsd management but its slow.

N3ds has a feature with Windows 7/8.1 and maybe 10 where you can use the network to transfer files :
(I can't link to nintendo support's website but you can find it by searching "microsd management 3ds xl pc"

However, I don't know if it can fully be used to install CFW.
