Hi guys, is there anyway Homebrew can be acquired on my current 2ds software? At the moment my software is Ver. 11.6.0-39E
Big thanks for any help, much appreciated :)

Umm, he said, "homebrew," not CFW. Homebrew can only be achieved with a certain games, like Freakyforms Deluxe. You should probably get CFW though.

With CFW you can do homebrew, too.

not to get into a technical battle here but cfw is homebrew . . . also using games as an entrypoint is inefficient as updates in firmware will require updates to the homebrew payload (and the user will just have to wait for the devs to support the new update) . . . while cfw will need no special update to continue allow basic homebrew . . . so unless the op specifically asks for "hax entrypoints" i will always suggest cfw as the homebrew solution

With cfw can I still get things like PKHeX? as that's the only reason I want it really
:mthr: oh yeah . . . definitely :mthr:

is that serious or sarcastic? haha kinda hard to tell haha
serious . . . i joke often but not with console related things :teach:

I did but then after some research I found that I cannot get homebrew unless I have cfw
you can but just not in a reliable state . . . here is a list of known homebrew entrypoints and a short summery of their requirements/limitations Homebrew Exploits - 3dbrew

Many homebrew related questions here, I think there is no need to post one after one. Anyway, the method is using homebrew entrypoint Ninjhax 2.9 or Freakyhax.
