Hacking How do i convert action replay saves?

I was just wondering, what program i could use to convert an action replay save for the DS?

duc and dss files can be converted to RAW saves aka supercard aka EZflash aka just about everything else save M3 and DSX by using max2sc:

From here it should be simple enough to use on an r4 (generate a 256 kilobyte file and add it on the end if memory serves).

err, how the hell do i get this program to work..

Read the instructions.

3 - drag and drop the .duc or old format .dss file onto max2sc.exe
4 - the file that is dropped will be extracted and buffered to SC 256k save file
 (this method should work to use with G6 as well)
5 - rename the save appropriately.

After that just run it through the R4 save converter.

What would I rename the converted duc file to? .sav or .nds?

Hmm maybe the .duc file I have is corrupted or something cuz it won't work...

You ran the save through max2sc, then the R4 save converter, right? If so, then it probably is a bad file.

Thanks this is very helpful. Can't find the save converter though. Hoping it works with my N5 when I do find it.

You can get the R4 save converter from www.r4ds.com. You can also use my save converter (download page) or Shuny's online save converter.

The saves should work with the N5 or any other R4 clone.
