Hi, I've got a question.
How do you block the sensors on a ps2 slim? (75004 model if it matters)
Magic_Switch_Overall.jpg

There are 3 sensors, a, b and c.

Help me please

Edit: Yes, I have watched quite a lot videos before asking this here, but they were really unclear :/

Oh and btw, I don't want to open my ps2

With magic keys 3 you don't need to open it.
Sold at several netshops.......

I would prefer home-made stuff

And I'm pretty sure the magic keys 3 aren't sold here in Holland
(or at least not really close :/)

Edit: Wait, it IS possible to block those sensors with home-made stuff, right?

I opened my ps2 up and used black tape, works fine. There is some guides online but I can't seem to find them anymore.

I couldn't get the magic keys to work and they pissed me off hence I did that.

So, all I need to do is cover those 3 sensors with black tape?
(Or in my case, normal tape with a small piece on paper taped on it

)
So those sensors are laser sensors? (or infrared or whatever)

I use what's called handitak. Stuff that some people use to hang up posters or whatever on their wall. There was no C sensor on my slim so I don't know how that one works, but for the others the handitak works great! And if I ever decide to remove the handitak it comes right out (have done in the past).

Ah thanks, covered up the first two

But I'm not sure about sensor c, I'm quite positive my ps2 has got that sensor soo...
What is the sensor c?
I'm not sure xD

Just out of curiosity, blocking the sensors will do what for you?

I'm not being sarcastic, I really am curious as to what purpose doing this would serve.

I did this trick about 3 year ago now and I pretty much forgot where that is I'm afraid. I'm sure I had sensor C aswell and there was a place for the tape to go. There should be some guides kicking around somewhere on the internets.

I made a guide a long time ago on how to cover your sensors with cut up pieces of credit/store card and super glue. Ask me where the hell it is, I couldnt tell you.

google "tape and tissue mod" or "cardboard and straw mod" some people used straws to push sensor C. Some had to bend the metal as the hole was made smaller and a straw wouldnt fit. And the sensors are buttons like sensor A. Sensor C is just a disk stopping thing.
