ROM Hack Question How can I backup my Pokemon save data?

Hi there. Brand new to the scene. I bought my Switch when they first came out, and I'm on 6.2. I don't care about downgrading or anything like that. I just want to be able to get a backup of my save data, especially of the games that don't support cloud save.

Is this possible on 6.2 right now? From what I think I understand, I'm guessing not, but i figure I should at least ask. I'm not understanding what is going on with this 6.2 update. Something about burnt fuses.

I had to update to claim my Mew from my pokeball yesterday. Wouldn't let me otherwise. Again. I don't care about downgrading or anything. If I can't, that's fine I guess. Just wanted someone more well versed in this area than I to tell me if I can or can not get a backup of my save data.

I'm not 100% on this but since 6.2 was released recently it causes a lot of problems with CFW, and as such you can't run homebrew on 6.2 yet so you can't backup your save data at the moment.

Once CFW is working on 6.2 (no ETA) you should be able to use a app Checkpoint to backup your save with any custom firmware.

I know reading is important, but i wasn't 100% certain I was understanding what I was reading. I'm guessing from what you are implying, I have to use some sort of CFW to back up my save data? And all CFW is not working.

1- yes, the back up your games your system must be hacked, however in 6.2 you can't.
2- that's good thing, maybe it will take some times to get 6.2 cracked.
3- sadly no, even copying the game files then restore it will result of corruption.

Yes, you need a homebrew app to make backups of your saves which is honestly really damn stupid of Nintendo since not EVERY game is compatible with their cloud save feature
