hi,

I bought a used unpatched switch in great condition it seems like it was a launch switch. I'm sitting about 1.8m away from the switch and the input lag is horrible, slow games are fine but everything else is best played in handheld mode. if I put my knees up while playing, the joycons barely react to anything. is there anything I could do the fix it? I tried different location on the tv shelf, updating joycons in the settings menu, I'm thinking about just buying a long hdmi cable and put the switch 0.5m away on the table. I ordered 8bitdo for my ps4 gamepad so propably I will use it most of the time. my wifi seems horrible too, 2mbps with ftp and short freezes.

I recommend the pro controller no issues yet the joycons are a bit weird .

I made a discovery which might help someone else. I bought a 8bitdo to play with my ps4 gamepad, which works really great. but then I had problem in mario odyssey because the rumble was too brutal to find a power moon. I took my joycons which connected as player 2. while playing I noticed the lag was gone, I could raise my knees or put joycons behind my back and it still worked. I switched back to player 1 and the lag returned. again back to player 2 still no lag. I continued to play mario as player 2. after some time the joycon switched automatically to player 1 and the lag was gone too. still no lag after standby mode.

I do have noticable input lags as well when the switch is in docked mode and if you search the web there are lots of people with this problem ...

some say to try not to have anything in the way an no wifi or Bluetooth device near the switch ...

I have several games that are unplayable in docked mode as well no matter if joycon or pro controller

and for some games like TWEWY where you need to use touch or the joycon my joycon always starts to act up and move to one side even though I don't do anything...
can put it on the table and the coursor will just move away :/
